These house flies lay their eggs in almost any moist, warm, material that can supply them suitable food for their larvae. The female flies may lay eggs in a total of 5 to 6 batches of almost 75 to 100 eggs. During warm weather, eggs can hatch in 12 – 24 hours.

  1. Life span

Generally, the life span of a house fly is less than 1 month.

These house flies are considered to be major carriers of various diseases. Researchers found that they can transfer more than 100 pathogens that result into ailments like:

  • Typhoid
  • Tuberculosis
  • Dysentery
  • Cholera

Houseflies are harmful not because they can create a nuisance or major inconvenience but they are really very harmful to us.

As you know they generally feed only on filthy matters. They can carry dangerous micro organism on their body and legs. When they hover over our foods, sit on them or our body, they will transfer all these harmful organisms into our bodies.
